About Us
Let us tell you a little about ourselves.
Our journey began many years ago. Wade’s family is from the Fort Smith area,
but he grew up in central Illinois. My family is from the Fort Smith area and
while taking some paperwork to my family’s bookkeeper, Wade and I met and have been
together since. We married in 1989 and settled in Fort Smith. After graduating
from the University of Arkansas, I sold real estate and worked at a bank.

When I was pregnant with our oldest daughter, I searched for baby products locally.
My mom and I made many things for our daughter’s nursery. When she was 9 months old,
I shopped for her first Easter dress. The dress I wanted for her was $50.
As a stay-at-home mom, this was more than I wanted to spend. Especially when you
consider she was going to out grow the dress in less than a month. My birthday was
close to Easter so I asked for money for my birthday, and I purchased my first sewing machine.
With my mom’s help, I made her dress and pinafore. This was the first of many items I sewed.
I made fleece coats every winter, dresses, jumpers, etc. When invited to baby showers, I made
blankets, bibs, burp cloths and even a few bedding sets. Inspiration had begun.
Two years after our youngest daughter was born, I thought, “Why isn’t there a baby
store in Fort Smith?” one that would be filled with practical items you need and all
the adorable items you never knew you needed! I went searching. After attending a
trade show, I found the names of several reputable suppliers, a space to
lease and my courage to step out on faith. Now for the name. I struggled to think
of a name that was unique. We were in church one Sunday and we began singing
“Blessed Be the Name of the Lord.” I knew immediately what to name our store.
We’ve seen many product changes and industry changes, but many things do not change.
Customers want quality products and fair prices. We strive to provide this and more
with superior customer service. I believe this to be our divine calling in life.
I also believe in the sanctity of life and that God's blessings are to be treasured.
If you're ever in Fort Smith, come by our store. If that is too far to drive, send
us an email, we would love to hear from you.
